Need I say more, finally finished...

Base mesh blender -> max for smoothing groups -> zbrush for smoothing, sculpting and polypainting -> photoshop for comp following this thread as a guideline.

Jawa finished for HMC Entry

So the comp is over, here is my final entry, I have posted all the other shots in the hand-in thread here and the wip thread here. Thanks to everyone who gave me crit and encouragement. I will continue working on this guy on and off while I finish up my mountain giant.

Feng Zhu Concept Character 32 Model

Hi All,

This is a piece I modelled form a reference found on Feng Zhu's website (Character 32) just for personal practice. I started off from the low poly average man and made the other base meshes in blender.

I realise the forms is not correct yet but thought I'd post how far I've got (PS I also realise I should have got the form correct first )

Please feel free to crit my work, I'd really appreciate some advice to push this model forward .

Things still on my list todo:
1) Get muscles correct on front arm
2) Get hands and pose correct so that he looks like he is really holding the hammer
2) Tassles on the base of the Hammer handle plus shoulder strap
3) Finish Hip Guard
4) Scuplt sash - anyone know a good technique for sculpting a cloth wrapped around something?
5) Hair (possible in blender...)

Decided blenders internal engine couldn't do the 'bounce' light needed to eliminate contact shadowing etc.... so here is an attempt in the ultimate renderer for the lowly individual (and others) modo:

This is a spin of the giant in blender using a low poly obj from zbrush and a displacement map on subd level 6. Also has normal, colour, cavity, spec and ao maps.

Sup,

This is the nearly complete stone version of the giant with his club :) Just gotta touch up and do background... (he got turned to stone by nasty wizard type...)

Please note I messed up the symmetry when doing his hand details so his left hand sucks! (all done in zbrush, posed with transpose)

Blog Header Background Image

Hi All,

I finally managed to change the image in the background of the my blog header, it is now this cool lizard like skin :) It was a bit of a mission but I managed to download the original image and then replace the sections I wanted to chage. I then uploaded the new image on photobucket and referenced it by editing the HTML of my blog. I had some problems as when uploaded a GIF to photobucket the image did some strange things, but I changed to jpeg and it's happy days :)

This is another piece of work in blender this time rendered with yafray... It started out as modelling my pair of headphones and then turned into an elf listenening too music... it was going to end up in with the elf sitting in a train but it never got that far... Maybe one day I will get around to finishing it... I used the make human script for the basic head and adjusted it to make it more elf like...

Hi All,

this is a post of my first blender attempt (from 2005 :) It is a weapon designed for star wars, it holds a light saber, the red glowing thing, in a clip for close combat and can be fired for ranged combat... It fits over your fore arm and your hand grips the handle underneath (the orange bits)... Anyway I hope that makes sense.
